Natural gourds have imperfections and different shades which add character to the final product.  These hand-crafted gourd birdhouses are wood-burned and ink stained.  Coated with 2 coats of Marine Spar Varnish to protect against the weather and preserve the wood-burn and color. Yes, birds will nest in these gourds!  Size is indicated in picture.
